Posting rules
This board exists so someone can find work without being taken advantage of. These are the rules every posting has to meet. If you see something that breaks them, report it — every report is read by a person.
1The applicant never pays
Nobody pays to apply, to be trained, for a uniform, for tools, or for a “deposit”. A real business pays you. If someone asks you for money, give them nothing and report the posting.
2No “be your own boss” schemes
Multi-level marketing, pyramid selling, “business opportunities”, and any work where the money comes from recruiting other people are not allowed, however they are packaged.
3No discriminatory requirements
A posting cannot require or exclude people by race, religion, sex, age, marital status, disability, or national origin. Asking for Albanian as a working language is fine; requiring that someone “be Albanian” is not.
4A real business, with a real person behind it
We need a business name and a contact that works. The address can stay private — a contractor should not have to publish their home — but the business has to exist.
5Legal work only
The work has to be legal in Florida and paid according to the law. No posting that asks for falsified documents or offers pay below the legal minimum.
For people applying
Never pay to get a job. Do not hand over your passport, green card, or Social Security number before you actually start work. For a first meeting, meet at the business, during business hours.
If you see something wrong
Every posting and every profile has a “Report” link. You do not need an account. You can leave an email if you want to know how it ended, but you do not have to.
